Love found her along the way, which brings us to Morgan’s latest chapter- landing in Lexington 11 months ago with her dream man, whom she wed in June, and basking daily in the joys of raising son Lucca. Morgan, a poet at heart with a master’s in philosophy and a seasoned passport, revels in romance. Maternity portraits are very special to me because I am both mother and  photographer. It was the maternity self-portraits I did throughout my first pregnancy that set me on the path to becoming a professional photographer. I knew what having a beautiful photo of my big belly did for me (incredibly empowering) and so I started doing it for my friends and family who were pregnant as well. Seeing their eyes light up when they saw their photos (falling more in love with themselves and the babies to come) made me hooked–I loved making mommas-to-be feel beautiful and getting the opportunity to make that famous ‘pregnancy glow’ into an art form. Pregnant ladies have a power and a grace (and sex-appeal!) all  their own. Don’t you think?

How to make a beautiful video is something I want to learn (need a good iMovie tutorial and/or tutor!). Right now I just enjoy playing around with the video mode of my canon point and shoot camera. This is a little vid from my most recent trip to Italy and basically sums up what we did most of the time (kiss!) We set out to make our trip one of the most romantic ever. We took two separate planes to arrive in Rome. We made a plan to rendezvous at La Fontana di Trevi…and on the morning of Sept. 16, 2009 we had it all to our self. I will never ever forget it. She started her boutique photography business in 2006 in Portland, OR and moved to Lexington last winter with her husband and her son.

Beginning in the spring of 2010 she will be teaching a course in digital photography and photoshop through UK’s Fine Art Institute.
